About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Branch Head to lead and manage the Pune branch operations with overall responsibility for business growth, sales, customer relationships, operational performance, profitability, and team management.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry, with a proven track record of managing branch-level business and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Take overall ownership of branch performance, revenue, profitability, and business growth.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve branch sales and revenue targets.
- Drive recent business acquisition and expand the existing customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, decision-makers, and business partners.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop business across relevant freight forwarding and logistics services.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the branch sales and operations team.
- Set team objectives, monitor performance, and ensure achievement of business targets.
- Oversee day-to-day branch operations and ensure service quality, process compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with pricing, operations, customer service, documentation, and other internal teams for smooth shipment execution.
- Monitor branch P&L;, profitability, costs, collections, and overall financial performance.
- Manage key customer escalations and ensure timely resolution of service-related issues.




- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain regular MIS and management reporting related to sales, revenue, volumes, profitability, and branch performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, and industry regulations.

Candidate Requirements

- 10–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in freight forwarding, shipping, logistics, or supply chain.
- Prior experience in Branch Management / Branch Head / Senior Sales & Operations Management is preferred.
- Strong understanding of freight forwarding and logistics processes.
- Proven experience in business development, customer acquisition, and revenue generation.
- Strong commercial understanding with exposure to P&L; and branch profitability.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Should be comfortable handling key accounts, escalations, and senior-level client interactions.
- Strong target orientation with the ability to work independently and drive branch-level results.

Preferred Profile

Candidates currently working in freight forwarding/logistics companies with experience managing a branch, territory, or significant business portfolio will be preferred.
