Indus Education – Telecaller / Student Counsellor

Role Purpose

To handle enquiries and leads generated through digital marketing, school outreach, social media, website, WhatsApp and other channels; engage with prospective students and parents; understand their requirements; provide accurate information about Indus programmes; schedule counselling and follow-ups; and support the conversion of qualified enquiries into admissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive and respond to leads generated through both online and offline campaigns.
- Interact confidently and professionally with students as well as parents.
- Understand the student's requirements and appropriately qualify leads.
- Explain Indus programme details accurately without making unrealistic promises or commitments.
- Explain programme structure, academic support, assessment, mentoring, admission process and other relevant features.
- Conduct timely and systematic follow-up with prospective students and parents.
- Follow up systematically until the lead is converted, lost, or classified as a future prospect.




- Categorise leads appropriately and ensure the required follow-up action is taken for each category.
- Record and maintain accurate lead and admission funnel information in the CRM, including interaction details, lead status, next follow-up date, objections and reasons for non-conversion.
- Maintain accurate and updated admission funnel records.
- Coordinate effectively between students, parents, faculty and management to facilitate counselling, information sharing and admissions.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 1–3 years' experience in telecalling, admissions counselling, inside sales or customer engagement, preferably in an EdTech or education organisation.
- Strong Malayalam and English communication skills.
- Basic computer and CRM skills.
- Comfortable working with targets and structured follow-up schedules.

Experience in NEET/KEAM/JEE coaching, entrance education or student admissions will be an added advantage.
