A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) for Physics teaches senior secondary students (Classes 11 and 12) and prepares them for board examinations as well as competitive entrance tests like JEE and NEET.

Job Overview & ObjectiveDeliver engaging, application-oriented physics lessons, manage laboratory sessions, and foster a solid analytical foundation in physical sciences for higher secondary students.

Key Responsibilities

- Instruction & Lesson Planning: Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum guidelines (such as CBSE, ICSE, or state boards) for Classes 11 and 12.
- Concept Clarity: Simplify complex physical concepts (Mechanics, Optics, Thermodynamics, Electrodynamics, and Modern Physics) using practical examples, smart boards, and audio-visual ICT tools.
- Laboratory Management: Conduct and supervise physics practical experiments, ensuring safety protocols and hands-on learning.
- Assessments: Create worksheets, quizzes, term exams,



and board-style question papers; evaluate student performance and provide remedial coaching.
- Competitive Exam Prep: Provide fundamental or advanced coaching for competitive exams like JEE and NEET, depending on the school's program requirements.
- Parent Communication: Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to report student progress and developmental goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Master’s degree in Physics (M.Sc. Physics) from a recognized university.
- Professional Certification: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teaching certification (mandatory for most standard board schools).
- Experience: 2 to 5+ years of teaching senior secondary physics in a reputed school or coaching institute.
- Skills: Excellent verbal communication, patience, classroom management, and proficiency with digital/virtual lab tools.
