We are looking for a reliable, process-driven ETP Operator to join our environmental management team and ensure our effluent treatment processes run efficiently and compliantly.

Job Overview

As an ETP Operator, you will be responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of our Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). You will ensure treated discharge meets regulatory standards, manage chemical dosing, and maintain operational logs.

Key Responsibilities

- Plant Operation: Daily operation and routine monitoring of ETP equipment including pumps, blowers, clarifiers, sand/carbon filters, and press filters.
- Process Control: Monitor parameters such as pH, TDS, COD, BOD, flow rate, and dosing ratios to maintain optimal biological/chemical treatment.
- Chemical Handling: Safely prepare, dose, and manage treatment chemicals following SOPs and safety guidelines.
- Sludge & Waste Management: Handle sludge extraction, filter press operation, and safe storage of generated hazardous waste.
- Documentation & Logs: Maintain accurate daily logbooks for wastewater volumes, chemical consumption, equipment running hours,



and parameter readings.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic preventive maintenance, identify operational issues or mechanical faults promptly, and report them to the Plant Engineer.
- EHS & Compliance: Strictly observe Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines, wear mandatory PPE, and maintain clean plant housekeeping.

Education: ITI (Fitter/Machinist) / B.Sc. in Chemistry / Diploma in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.

Experience: 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in ETP/STP operation, preferably in a chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of chemical dosing, neutralization processes, filtration, and primary/secondary/tertiary wastewater treatment.

- Certifications: Knowledge of Pollution Control Board (PCB) compliance and EHS practices is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Good discipline, team-oriented, punctual, and comfortable working in rotational shifts.
