Primary Responsibilities
Material reconciliation and tracking.
Maintain daily labour and manpower updates.
Prepare daily work target plans and monitor target achievement.
Monitor day-to-day site activities and project progress.
Report work progress, material status, manpower requirements, and site issues to the Project Engineer / Project Manager.
Job Description
Calculate the quantity of fittings and materials required as per project requirements and technical drawings.
Read, understand, and interpret engineering and installation drawings.
Ensure assigned work targets are completed within the defined timelines.
Supervise and coordinate site activities, including welding, fitting, fabrication, and installation work.
Manage and allocate work to the site team and labour.
Resolve labour-related issues and coordinate with the Project Engineer / Project Manager when required.
Take accurate site measurements and maintain proper measurement records.
Maintain records of materials received, issued, consumed, and returned at the site.
Track and reconcile the movement of materials in and out of the site.
Maintain proper knowledge of fittings, piping, fabrication materials, and other project-related materials.
Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, client representatives, and contractors.
Ensure site activities are carried out as per approved drawings, project requirements, and work schedules.
Obtain necessary site clearances from the client before commencing or completing relevant activities.
Monitor work quality and report deviations or technical issues to the Project Engineer / Project Manager.
Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices at the project site.
Assist in preparing daily progress reports and other project documentation.
Support the project team in achieving project milestones and completion targets.
Be willing to work extra hours when required to meet project deadlines.
Be available to work on Sundays / holidays when required based on project schedules.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of welding and fitting.
Ability to read and understand technical / engineering drawings.
Basic knowledge of fittings, piping, and project materials.
Ability to calculate material and fitting requirements.
Ability to take accurate site measurements.
Positive site coordination and team management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Hardworking, disciplined, and responsible.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project targets.
Willingness to work at project sites and flexible working hours.
Educational Qualification
Candidates with any of the following qualifications may apply:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (D. Mech)
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Diploma in Fire & Safety Management
Work Experience
1-3 year of experience in site engineering, mechanical projects, fire & safety projects, fabrication, installation, or related fields.
Freshers with relevant technical knowledge and practical training may apply.
Experienced candidates with relevant site engineering experience are also preferred.
