Job Summary
The candidate will be responsible for delivering effective Physical Education instruction, preparing students for board examinations, developing sporting talent, and coordinating school sports activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Physical Education for Classes XI & XII as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver engaging theoretical and practical PE lessons.
- Prepare students for CBSE Physical Education board examinations.
- Conduct practical assessments and maintain academic records.
- Plan and supervise sports activities, tournaments and competitions.
- Coach and develop students participating in inter-school and other competitive events.
- Identify and nurture students with potential in different sports.
- Promote physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, leadership and sportsmanship.
- Ensure proper safety procedures during sports and physical activities.
- Maintain and monitor sports equipment and facilities.
- Coordinate with other teachers and school management for sports events and activities.
- Participate in Annual Sports Day and other school programmes.
- Maintain student attendance,
performance and assessment records.
Required Qualifications
- M.P.Ed / B.P.Ed or equivalent qualification in Physical Education.
- PGT-level teaching experience, preferably in a CBSE school.
- Good knowledge of the CBSE Physical Education curriculum for Classes XI & XII.
- Robust communication and classroom-management skills.
- Experience in coaching school-level sports teams will be an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of multiple sports and athletic activities.
- Experience preparing students for CBSE board examinations.
- Ability to organise sports events and competitions.
- Good leadership, teamwork and student-management skills.
- Passion for developing students' physical fitness and sporting abilities.
