Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Accounts Officer who is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the client office in the trading sector. This role involves handling purchase and sales transactions, inventory-related accounting, vendor and customer management, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The Junior Accounts Officer ensures accurate recording of transactions, proper stock valuation, timely collections and payments, and adherence to applicable accounting and taxation regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate books of accounts, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments

* Record and verify purchase invoices, sales invoices, and stock-related entries

* Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including follow-ups for outstanding payments

* Handle vendor payments and customer collections efficiently

* Perform bank reconciliations, cash management, and ledger reconciliations

* Monitor inventory accounting, stock movement, and stock valuation in coordination with stores/operations

* Assist in GST compliance including return preparation, reconciliation, and filing

* Support TDS compliance and other statutory requirements

* Prepare periodic financial reports such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports

* Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary documents during audits





* Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal controls

Qualifications and Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent qualification

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and trading-related transactions

* Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance

* Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, or similar ERP systems

* Good working knowledge of MS Excel

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

* Effective communication skills for client and vendor coordination

Recruitment and Experience Requirements

* 2–4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the trading or distribution industry

* Experience in handling inventory accounting and high-volume transactions will be an advantage

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
