Job Summary

Gentleman Chit Funds Co (I) Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Collection Manager to oversee collection operations and manage the performance of the collection team.

The position is responsible for monitoring payment follow-ups, managing overdue accounts, achieving collection objectives, supporting branch teams, and ensuring that collection activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily collection operations across assigned branches and locations.
- Develop and implement collection plans to achieve monthly collection objectives.
- Monitor daily collections, pending payments, overdue accounts, and team performance.
- Lead, guide, and motivate collection executives to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide guidance to improve team productivity.
- Plan and monitor field collection activities and customer follow-ups.
- Monitor overdue accounts and ensure timely follow-up with customers.
- Maintain professional communication with customers regarding pending payments and repayment schedules.
- Analyze collection reports and identify performance gaps and improvement areas.
- Prepare and maintain collection MIS, overdue reports, performance reports, and trackers.
- Coordinate with branch teams and management on collection-related matters.
- Handle customer queries and escalations related to payments and collection activities.
- Ensure collection records and customer information are updated accurately and on time.




- Monitor team productivity and take corrective measures where required.
- Provide regular collection performance updates and reports to management.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, collection procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

- Graduate / MBA or equivalent qualification.
- 7–10 years of total professional experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Collection Management, Team Leadership, or a similar supervisory role.
- Experience in NBFC, Chit Funds, Banking, BFSI, or Financial Services will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of collection operations and overdue account management.
- Proven experience in managing collection teams and achieving collection objectives.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and collection MIS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good planning, coordination, and follow-up abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple branches, teams, and collection activities.
- Willingness to coordinate field-level activities when required.
