MEP Engineer — Contracts is responsible for managing and administeri g MEP-related contracts across real estate projects, with expertise in Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Fighting systems. The role focuses on contract drafting and review, tendering support, cost control, compliance, and risk management to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of MEP works in line with statutory and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Contract Drafting & Review (MEP Scope)
Draft, review, and finalize MEP contracts, work orders, LOAs, service agreements, and vendor contracts for Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Fighting works. Review MEP scope of work, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and technical annexures for clarity and completeness.
Ensure contracts comply with applicable NBC, IS codes, Fire norms, Electrical safety rules, local authority approvals, GST, Labour laws, and other statutory requirements.
B. Tendering & Commercial Evaluation
Support procurement in MEP tender preparation, vendor pre-qualification, and technical-commercial bid evaluation.Carry out rate analysis, cost benchmarking, and justification for ì4EP items. Prepare comparative statements (CS), cost summaries, and recommendations for finalization of MEP vendors.
C. Contract Administration & Billing Support
Monitor contract milestones, delierables, payment terms, and retention clauses for MEP packages.
Evaluate running bills, final bills, extra items, deviations, and variation orders (VOs) for MEP works.
Coordinate with site and project teams to ensure proper documentation for certifications and approvals.
D. Claims, Variations & Dispute Support
Review and assess contractor claims related to time extensions, extra items, price escalation, and scope changes.
Prepare contractual responses and recommendations for claims settlement. Support legal and management teams in dispute resolution, arbitration, and negotiations related to MEP contracts.
E. Risk Management & Compliance
Identify contractual and commercial risks in MEP packages and propose mi tigation rneasures
Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, contract conditions, and audit req {Ill-ements.
Pantcipate. in periGdic contract audits and post-contract reviews for MEP works.
F. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
Liaise with project, procurement, legal, finance, consultants, and site teams for seamless contract execution.
Provide contractual interpretations, clarifications, and guidance on MEP-related Issues.
Coordinate with statutory authorities and consultants for approvals related to Fire, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
3. Qualifications & Experience
B.E./B.Tech/Dip10ma in Electrical / Mechanical / MEP Engineering. 8—12 years of experience in MEP contracts within real estate / construction organizations.
Strong exposure to Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems from a contracts/commercial perspective.
4. Key Skills & Competencies
MEP contract drafting, review, and administration
BOQ analysis, rate analysis, and cost control
Knowledge of NBC, IS codes, Fire norms, and local regulations
Claims management and variation handling
Strong coordination, negotiation, and documentation skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, contract documentation, and ERP systems
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
