About the Role

Grasshopper is looking for a creative and passionate Fashion Designer to join our design team and create recent collections for our women’s ethnic wear brand.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of women’s ethnic wear, fabrics, colours, prints, fitting and garment construction, with the ability to turn ideas into commercially successful products.

Responsibilities

- Develop new designs and collections for women’s ethnic wear.
- Research current fashion and market trends.
- Create design concepts, sketches and mood boards.
- Select fabrics, colours, prints and trims.
- Coordinate with the pattern master and production team for sample development.
- Review samples, fittings and alterations.
- Ensure designs are practical for bulk production.
- Work with the team to develop commercially attractive products.
- Maintain design and sample records.
- Support photoshoots and product development when required.

Requirements

- Diploma/Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.




- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of women’s ethnic wear.
- Good understanding of fabrics, colours, patterns and garment construction.
- Creative thinking and a good sense of fashion.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW or similar software is an advantage.
- Portfolio of previous work is preferred.

Salary: ₹20000 – ₹25000 per month, based on experience and skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
