The Supplier Quality Engineer is a hands-on technical contributor responsible for independently executing and owning assigned supplier and component quality activities across the supplier lifecycle—from selection and qualification through production performance, change management, corrective action, warranty support, and supplier development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Strategic and Functional

Translate technical, customer, and regulatory requirements into effective qualification, inspection, monitoring, and control requirements, and make evidence-based supplier and component approval decisions while ensuring QMS compliance.
- Ensure supplier components meet engineering and quality requirements through appropriate inspection and verification controls. Manage supplier NCR, SCAR,
and CAPA activities from containment through root-cause investigation, corrective action, and effectiveness verification, escalating recurring or high-risk issues and ensuring corrective actions are incorporated into supplier process controls.
- Lead supplier-related warranty and field-quality investigations, establishing supplier accountability and driving containment and corrective action. Use quality metrics, statistical analysis, and lessons learned to identify risk, verify improvements, strengthen supplier controls, and reduce defects, escapes, rework, warranty exposure, and cost of poor quality.
