Job Description

Pratidin TV is looking for a creative and technically skilled Visual Editor to join our digital/news production team. The candidate will be responsible for editing video content for news broadcasts and digital platforms, ensuring high-quality and engaging visual presentation.

Key Responsibilities

* Edit news videos, reports, interviews, reels, and other digital video content.

* Work closely with reporters, anchors, and the editorial team to produce compelling news packages.

* Select and arrange video footage, photographs, graphics, sound, and other visual elements.

* Add appropriate titles, lower thirds, captions, transitions, graphics, and effects.

* Ensure videos meet the required editorial, technical, and visual standards.

* Edit content for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other digital platforms.

* Handle breaking-news and time-sensitive video assignments while meeting strict deadlines.

* Maintain proper organization and management of raw footage and completed projects.

* Assist in creating short-form content such as Reels, Shorts, and social media videos.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Visual Communication, Film & Television, Multimedia, or a related field.

* 1–3 years of experience in video editing,



preferably in a news channel, digital media organization, production house, or similar environment.

* Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

* Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, or similar software will be an advantage.

* Good understanding of video composition, pacing, sound, transitions, colour correction, and basic graphics.

* Ability to edit both long-form news packages and short-form social media content.

* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

* Positive understanding of current affairs and news content will be preferred.

* Candidates with prior experience in TV news or digital news media will be given preference.
