Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Assistant Electrical Manager to support the Electrical Manager in managing electrical maintenance, operations, installation, troubleshooting, and safety activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate with maintenance teams, contractors, and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Electrical Manager in planning and managing day-to-day electrical maintenance activities.
- Supervise electrical maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting work.
- Monitor electrical equipment, machinery, panels, motors, transformers, DG sets, and other electrical systems.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is carried out as per schedule.
- Diagnose electrical faults and coordinate timely corrective actions.
- Maintain records of electrical maintenance, breakdowns, inspections, and equipment performance.
- Coordinate with technicians, electricians, contractors, and vendors.
- Monitor electrical spare parts, tools, and consumables and coordinate procurement requirements.
- Assist in planning and executing recent electrical installations, modifications, and improvement projects.
- Ensure electrical systems and installations comply with applicable safety standards and company procedures.
- Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost reduction.




- Support electrical safety inspections and ensure proper use of PPE and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions.
- Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
- Support testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
- Prepare maintenance reports, breakdown reports, and other required documentation.
- Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained in electrical rooms and work areas.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance activities related to electrical systems.

Required Skills

- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance/operations.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and industrial electrical maintenance.
- Good understanding of motors, MCC/PCC panels, transformers, DG sets, control panels, and electrical distribution systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns.
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety practices.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in industrial/manufacturing electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, automation, and control systems.
- Experience with electrical testing equipment.
- Knowledge of energy management and electrical load management.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems/software.
- Experience managing electrical contractors and vendors.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical safety regulations and standards.
