Job Description:

- We are looking for an experienced API Automation Testing Engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in API testing automation framework development and quality assurance
- The ideal candidate should possess robust expertise in REST SOAP API testing automation tools test frameworks CI CD pipelines and Agile methodologies

Key Responsibilities:

- Design develop and maintain API automation test frameworks
- Perform functional integration regression and end to end API testing
- Validate RESTful and SOAP web services using automation tools
- Create execute and maintain automated test scripts
- Analyze API specifications business requirements and technical documentation
- Integrate automated test suites with CI CD pipelines
- Identify track and report defects using defect management tools
- Perform database validation and backend testing
- Collaborate with developers business analysts and DevOps teams to ensure product quality
- Participate in Agile ceremonies sprint planning and test strategy discussions

Technical Requirements:

- Strong experience in API Automation Testing
- Hands on experience with Postman Rest Assured Karate Framework SoapUI or ReadyAPI




- Proficiency in Java or Python
- Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs
- Strong understanding of HTTP JSON XML OAuth JWT and API security concepts
- Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit
- Knowledge of CI CD tools like Jenkins GitHub Actions GitLab CI or Azure DevOps
- Experience with version control tools such as Git
- Knowledge of SQL and database testing
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum development methodologies

Additional Responsibilities:

- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter
- Exposure to Docker Kubernetes and cloud platforms AWS Azure GCP
- Knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience working in DevOps environments
- Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber
