Position: MERN Stack Developer

Experience Level: 2 to 4 Years

Location: Ahmedabad

Role Summary

We are looking for a versatile MERN Stack Developer with 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining robust web applications. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to build high-performance backend APIs, responsive front-end interfaces, and seamless database architectures to support Katch’s growing mobility and transit tech platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.

- Develop responsive, user-friendly, and high-performance frontend interfaces using React.js.

- Design, write, and optimize queries, schemas, and database operations primarily using MySQL (and handle NoSQL/MongoDB integrations where required).

- Write clean, reusable, testable, and efficient code following software development best practices.





- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software systems and third-party API integrations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, UI/UX) to define features and ship new modules rapidly.

Required Technical Skills

- Frontend: Robust proficiency in React.js, Redux/Context API, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive UI design.

- Backend: Solid experience in Node.js and Express.js framework for building scalable server-side applications.

- Databases: Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL), query optimization, indexing, and schema design (familiarity with MongoDB/NoSQL is an added plus).

- Tools & Others: Git/GitHub, RESTful API architecture, Postman, and basic understanding of deployment environments (AWS/Linux servers).
