To independently deliver accurate, timely and high-quality CP-Audit and CP-Draw services by combining established CP-Desk expertise and traditional vetting and drafting techniques with AI-enabled tools.
• The role is responsible for maintaining nil-quality-return standards, supporting junior specialists and strategic accounts, and actively identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and maximise the effective use of AI within CP-Desk operations.
Qualification:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Skilled qualification in shipping/maritime operations, such as ICS or an equivalent recognised maritime qualification, would be an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of Charter Party and post-fixture operations, supported by relevant professional training or practical industry experience.
- Digital and AI proficiency, with the ability to effectively use AI-enabled tools for document review, drafting, analysis and process improvement.
Work Experience :
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in Charter Party processing, vetting, drafting, chartering operations or a closely related maritime commercial operations function.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on CP-Desk or equivalent Charter Party experience, with demonstrated ability to independently handle CP audits, CP drafting/draws, strategic accounts and quality-critical processing.
- Experience working with AI-assisted document processing, automation or digital maritime workflows would be advantageous, particularly where the candidate has contributed to process improvements or efficiency gains.
Skill & Knowledge : Charter Party Expertise: Strong knowledge of Charter Parties, recaps, riders, amendments and related contractual terminology, with the ability to interpret and apply CP terms accurately.
