Role Description The Machinist role at Akshaya Press Tools is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.



The Machinist will set up and operate CNC and conventional machines such as milling, turning, and grinding equipment to produce precision components, tools, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications. Responsibilities include interpreting technical drawings, selecting tools and materials, adjusting machine settings, performing measurements and inspections, and maintaining required tolerances and surface finishes. The Machinist will also perform routine machine maintenance, identify and correct machining issues, collaborate with engineers and supervisors on process improvements, and support tool and fixture repair, modification, and development. Strict adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and production timelines is expected.
