We craft immersive experiences that connect brands to their audiences in unforgettable ways. As we scale, we're building a robust HR function with systems, compliance, and culture at its core.

We're seeking an HR Manager to own and scale the complete HR function at StepOne. You'll build processes, lead a growing HR team, ensure statutory compliance, and shape culture as we expand from 40 to 50+ headcount. This role reports to the Founder's Office and requires strategic thinking alongside hands-on execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR Operations & Process Design
• Design and implement HR policies, SOPs, and systems that support growth
• Build scalable recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
• Establish performance management frameworks aligned with company values
• Manage HR technology, data, and documentation systems
• Ensure Indian statutory compliance (PF, contract compliance, etc.)
• Own HR budget and resource planning

Talent Acquisition and Retention




• Oversee end-to-end hiring strategy and execution
• Work with department heads to forecast hiring needs and skill gaps
• Manage compensation benchmarking and perks design
• Drive retention strategies and exit analysis

Employee Engagement and Culture
• Lead culture initiatives that align with company DNA
• Conduct pulse checks and address retention risks early
• Facilitate performance reviews and career conversations
• Be the interface between teams and leadership on people issues

Compliance and Risk Management
• Own statutory compliance and engage consultants as needed
• Manage contracts, agreements, and documentation
• Handle separation processes
• Manage HR-related risks and ensure adherence to company policies

REQUIREMENTS
• 4-6 years HR experience (mix of execution and strategy preferred)
• Startup or growth-stage experience
• Deep knowledge of Indian labor laws and HR comp
