Role Description The Fabric Inspector is responsible for checking and verifying fabric quality before it enters the production process, ensuring that all materials meet company standards and customer specifications. This full-time, on-site role based in Tiruppur involves visually inspecting fabric for defects, measuring fabric length and width, and verifying color consistency and texture. The role includes documenting inspection results, tagging and segregating defective rolls, and coordinating with the sourcing, cutting, and production teams to resolve quality issues. The Fabric Inspector also supports continuous improvement by reporting recurring problems, following established inspection procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized inspection area. Collaboration with quality control and production supervisors is essential to ensure timely approvals and smooth workflow.

Qualifications





• Strong fabric inspection skills, including visual defect detection, basic fabric measurement, and understanding of common knit and woven fabric types.
• Knowledge of garment manufacturing workflows and quality control procedures, particularly in bulk production for export markets.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, inspection standards, and buyer requirements.
• Attention to detail, basic record-keeping skills, and ability to accurately document inspection results.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with sourcing, cutting, production, and quality teams.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle fabric rolls safely, following workplace safety guidelines.
• Prior experience in fabric or garment quality inspection in an apparel manufacturing workplace is preferred.
