IRIS Early Years is looking for a passionate and nurturing PP2 Teacher who enjoys working with young children and understands the importance of learning through play, exploration and meaningful experiences.
The teacher will be responsible for planning and facilitating age-appropriate, engaging learning experiences aligned with the IRIS curriculum, while supporting the holistic development of children across cognitive, social-emotional, language, physical and creative domains.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and conduct engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for PP2 children.
* Create a warm, safe and stimulating classroom environment.
* Use play-based, experiential and hands-on learning approaches.
* Observe children closely and document their learning and developmental progress.
* Support children’s social, emotional, language, cognitive and motor development.
* Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families.
* Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress and classroom experiences.
* Maintain classroom routines, hygiene and safety standards.
* Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, training and school events.
* Follow IRIS Early Years’ child protection, safety and operational protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
* Graduate in any relevant field, with a strong understanding of early childhood development.
* Prior experience in a preschool/early years setting is preferred.
* Valuable understanding of age-appropriate pedagogy.
* Strong classroom management and communication skills.
* Patient, empathetic and child-centred approach.
* Creative and enthusiastic about working with young children.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for every child.
