Role Description The Chef De Partie will oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring dishes are prepared to a consistent, high standard that reflects The Port Land’s cozy, thoughtful dining experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include prepping ingredients, cooking and plating menu items, maintaining food quality and presentation, and supporting menu development with creative input. The role also involves coordinating with the kitchen team, managing stock and mise en place, maintaining hygiene and safety standards,



and assisting with training junior staff. This is a full-time, in office role based at The Port Land in Kochi, requiring flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
• Professional culinary training or equivalent hands-on kitchen experience in cafés, bistros, or restaurants.
• Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating within a designated kitchen section.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen organization, with a commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with kitchen and service staff.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior kitchen staff is an advantage.
• Creativity in developing and refining dishes that fit a cozy café menu and gue
