saar. is a design-led lifestyle house making handcrafted objects for home, hosting and everyday rituals. Our Studio creates original collections, and our Editions bring the best of the world's makers to India. Every piece starts as an idea in our studio and ends up on someone's table.
The role
You'll work side by side with our founder to design, curate and build each collection, then make it real with our makers. This is a hands-on product role: part studio, part merchandising, part producer.
What you'll do
• Develop collections with the founder: moodboards, references, materials, colour and finish
• Source and brief vendors and artisans, in India and overseas
• Own and run sampling: quotes, samples, feedback rounds and approvals
• Track costing, timelines and production on a critical path
• Develop packaging with the founder
• Join vendor and buyer meetings, and present the collection to stockists
• Plan and run pop-ups, in Delhi and beyond
• Travel to vendors and craft clusters across India, and internationally when needed
You'll be right for this if you
• Have 1 to 3 years in product development, merchandising, sourcing or design at a home, lifestyle, fashion or accessories brand (open to graduates)
• Have a degree in design, fashion, accessory or product design, or fashion management
• Have a solid eye and real opinions about objects, design, and extremely detail-oriented
• Are very organised, methodical, planned and comfortable running timelines and costs in Excel or Google Sheets
• Speak English and Hindi fluently
• Are ready to travel within India and abroad, and hold or can get a passport
Nice to have
• Can build techpacks (Illustrator or CAD)
• Has worked with Indian craft clusters or overseas manufacturers
• Has worked directly with a founder in a small team
