We are looking for a Customs EDI professional with 2-3 years of experience in Customs Import Documentation and EDI filing. The candidate will be responsible for handling import documentation, Customs EDI filing and coordination with Customs, CHA, shipping lines and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle Customs Import Documentation and EDI filing.
- Prepare and process import-related documents accurately and within timelines.
- Handle documentation related to Bill of Entry, IGM, assessment and Customs procedures.
- Perform Customs EDI filing and monitor the status of submitted documents.
- Coordinate with Customs, CHA, shipping lines and customers for shipment clearance.
- Verify import documents and ensure accuracy before submission.
- Follow up on assessment, queries, examination and clearance-related activities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for smooth import clearance.
- Maintain proper records of Customs documents and shipment details.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Customs procedures and company requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline; relevant Customs / Logistics qualification will be an advantage.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in Customs Import Documentation / EDI.
- Valuable knowledge of Bill of Entry, IGM, assessment and Customs procedures.
- Hands-on experience in Customs EDI filing and import documentation.
- Good coordination and follow-up skills.
- Good knowledge of import-related documentation and procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and handle documentation within strict timelines.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in a Freight Forwarding / Customs / Logistics company.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in import clearance and Customs documentation will be preferred.
- Immediate or short-notice joiners will be an added advantage
