Senior Hardware Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer with 3-6 years of hands-on experience in electronic hardware design, embedded electronics, automotive, EV, or industrial electronics.
The candidate should have practical experience in schematic design, PCB layout, hardware bring-up, board-level debugging, and hardware validation. Exposure to automotive communication interfaces, power electronics, EV systems, telematics, or digital cockpit hardware will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electronic hardware for automotive ECUs, EV modules, and connected vehicle platforms.
- Create and review schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent tools.
- Perform hardware bring-up, board-level debugging, troubleshooting, and functional validation.
- Support EVT/DVT testing, including functional, thermal, EMC/EMI, and environmental testing.
- Integrate communication interfaces such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UART, SPI, and I2C.
- Work on power supply circuits including DC-DC converters, LDOs, load switches, and basic battery-related circuits.
- Collaborate with embedded firmware engineers for hardware-software integration and co-debugging.
- Support component selection, BOM review, prototype development, and production builds.
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers/EMS partners for prototype and hardware builds.
- Participate in hardware design reviews and maintain technical documentation, test reports, and revision records.
- Support customer integration, vehicle testing, and field debugging activities.
- Collaborate with embedded software, Android,
mechanical, and validation teams.
Required Skills:
- 3-6 years of experience in hardware/electronics design.
- Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB design/layout.
- Experience with Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent PCB design tools.
- Solid understanding of hardware bring-up and board-level debugging.
- Working knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded processing platforms.
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, UART, SPI, I2C, and USB.
- Basic understanding of power electronics, DC-DC converters, LDOs, and load circuits.
- Experience using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, DMM, and power supplies.
- Understanding of EMC/EMI design considerations.
- Basic knowledge of automotive standards such as AEC-Q100/Q200 and IATF 16949.
- Basic understanding of Embedded C for hardware-software co-debugging.
- Familiarity with Git, design data management, and issue-tracking tools.
Preferred / Good to Have:
- Experience with Automotive ECU or Digital Cockpit hardware.
- Exposure to Android Automotive hardware platforms.
- Experience with EV systems, BMS, charging hardware, or power electronics.
- Exposure to Telematics, GNSS, or V2X hardware.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety or AUTOSAR hardware concepts.
- Experience working with Automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, EV companies, or mobility startups.
