RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENT FLEET MANAGER

Position: Fleet Manager Mining & Crusher Operations

Industry: Mining / Stone Crushing / Construction Materials

Location: Kota–Bundi, Rajasthan

Reporting To: Management / Plant Head

Experience Required: 2–5 years in fleet, mining, construction, infrastructure or heavy equipment operations

1. Role Objective

We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to independently manage and control the complete fleet used for our mining and crusher operations.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum fleet availability, optimum utilization, controlled operating costs, preventive maintenance, fuel management, driver/operator discipline, statutory compliance and timely movement of material.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with tippers, excavators, wheel loaders, JCBs, tractors and other heavy earthmoving/construction equipment.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Fleet Operations

* Manage complete fleet deployment for mining and crusher plant operations.

* Plan daily vehicle/equipment allocation according to production and dispatch requirements.

* Ensure maximum utilization and minimum idle time.

* Monitor vehicle/equipment availability and breakdowns.

* Coordinate movement between mines, crusher plant, stockyards and customer locations.

* Maintain daily fleet movement and utilization reports.

B. Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance

* Implement preventive and scheduled maintenance systems.

* Maintain service schedules based on hours/km and OEM recommendations.

* Monitor breakdowns, repair time and machine downtime.

* Coordinate with workshops, OEMs, mechanics and spare-parts suppliers.

* Maintain maintenance history for every vehicle/equipment.

* Identify recurring failures and recommend corrective action.

C. Fuel Management & Cost Control

* Monitor diesel consumption vehicle-wise and equipment-wise.

* Establish standard fuel consumption benchmarks.

* Investigate abnormal fuel consumption, leakage or pilferage.

* Maintain fuel issue and consumption records.

* Track major operating costs including:

* Fuel

* Tyres

* Lubricants

* Repairs & maintenance

* Spare parts

* Driver/operator costs

* Outside transportation

D. Driver & Operator Management

* Manage drivers, operators and fleet support staff.

* Prepare duty/shift schedules.

* Monitor attendance, discipline and productivity.

* Ensure proper driving and equipment operating practices.





* Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings.

* Take corrective action for negligence, misuse or unauthorized vehicle use.

E. GPS / Technology / Monitoring

* Monitor GPS/VLTD systems and vehicle movement.

* Track route deviations, unauthorized movement, excessive idling and stoppages.

* Coordinate with the weighbridge/e-Rawanna and dispatch systems wherever applicable.

* Develop effective digital fleet monitoring and reporting systems.

F. Documentation & Compliance

Ensure that all vehicles and equipment have valid and updated:

* RC / registration

* Insurance

* Fitness certificate

* Permit

* PUC

* Tax

* Challans / statutory documents

* Mining-related permits/documents wherever applicable

* Driver licences and required authorizations

The candidate should maintain a proper document expiry tracker and ensure timely renewals.

G. MIS & Management Reporting

The candidate will be responsible for preparing regular MIS covering:

* Fleet availability

* Vehicle/equipment utilization

* Running hours / kilometres

* Fuel consumption

* Cost per km / operating hour

* Maintenance expenditure

* Breakdown hours

* Preventive maintenance compliance

* Tyre performance

* Driver performance

* Vehicle-wise profitability/cost

* Idle vehicles/equipment

* Daily and monthly fleet performance

3. Fleet Exposure Required

Candidate should preferably have experience managing a mixed heavy fleet such as:

* Mining Tippers

* Commercial Tippers

* Excavators

* Wheel Loaders

* JCB / Backhoe Loaders

* Tractors / Tractor Trolleys

* Telehandlers

* Other heavy earthmoving equipment

Experience with crusher plants, stone mines, aggregate plants, RMC, road construction, infrastructure or similar operations will be preferred.

4. Candidate Profile

Must Have

* 2–5 years of relevant fleet management experience.

* Strong practical knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles and earthmoving equipment.

* Experience in preventive maintenance and breakdown management.

* Strong knowledge of diesel/fuel management.





* Experience managing drivers and operators.

* Good understanding of GPS/VLTD-based fleet tracking.

* Good Excel/MIS skills.

* Robust coordination and problem-solving ability.

* Ability to work in field/plant/mining conditions.

* Willingness to work flexible hours according to operational requirements.

Preferred

* Experience in mining/crusher/aggregate industry.

* Diploma/Degree in Automobile, Mechanical or related field.

* Experience with OEM service networks.

* Knowledge of tyre management and tyre-life analysis.

* Experience implementing digital fleet management systems.

* Knowledge of Rajasthan transport/mining-related compliance.
