Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Quality Engineering Manager to lead enterprise-wide testing and quality engineering initiatives across Insurance applications and digital platforms. The role requires robust leadership capabilities to manage a blended workforce comprising internal team members and outsourced resources across multiple vendors.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the Insurance domain, modern Quality Engineering practices, Test Automation, AI-led Testing, and emerging Agentic Testing frameworks. The individual will be responsible for driving quality transformation, improving release confidence, optimizing testing costs, enhancing automation coverage, and implementing AI-powered testing strategies across the SDLC.

This role is a critical leadership position responsible for quality governance, stakeholder management, vendor performance, and continuous improvement of testing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Engineering Leadership

- Define and execute the Quality Engineering strategy aligned with business and technology objectives.
- Establish enterprise-wide testing standards, quality gates, and governance mechanisms.
- Drive a shift-left quality culture across development, business, and delivery teams.
- Develop and monitor KPI-driven quality management practices.

Team & Vendor Management

- Lead a team comprising with a mix of permanent and outsourced resources
- Manage resource planning, utilization tracking, and workforce optimization.
- Define vendor performance metrics and SLAs.
- Conduct regular governance reviews with partner organizations.
- Build high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and capability development.

Insurance Domain Quality Assurance

- Lead testing efforts across:
- Policy Administration Systems
- New Business & Underwriting
- Claims Management
- Customer Portals
- Agent Platforms
- CRM and Distribution Systems




- Regulatory and Compliance Programs

- Ensure business process validation across end-to-end insurance journeys.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and regulatory needs.

Agentic Testing & AI-Led Quality Engineering

- Drive adoption of Agentic AI Testing solutions to improve test productivity and release velocity.
- Implement AI-powered:
- Test case generation
- Requirement-to-test traceability
- Test data generation
- Autonomous regression testing
- Defect prediction
- Root cause analysis
- Risk-based testing

- Evaluate and introduce emerging GenAI and Agentic Testing platforms.
- Develop use cases for autonomous testing agents within CI/CD pipelines.
- Measure productivity and quality improvements delivered through AI-led testing initiatives.

Test Automation Excellence

- Define automation strategy across:
- Web applications
- APIs
- Mobile applications
- Microservices
- Enterprise Applications

- Increase automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
- Drive automation ROI tracking.
- Ensure integration of automation suites with DevOps pipelines.

Quality Governance & Metrics

- Own quality dashboards and executive reporting.
- Track and improve:

- Defect Density

- Test Effectiveness
- Release Readiness
- Production Stability
- MTTR Trends

- Present quality insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Stakeholder Management

- Partner with:

- Provide quality risk assessments for key releases and transformation initiatives.
- Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.





Required Qualifications

Education

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- Masters degree preferred.

Experience

- 10+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years in a people leadership role.
- Proven experience managing teams through a blended delivery model.
- Significant experience in the Life Insurance or General Insurance domain.
