Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Website Developer with strong expertise in Laravel, PHP, and AI integration to lead the development and enhancement of scalable web platforms.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building complex web applications, integrating AI-powered solutions, developing APIs, working with cloud platforms, and establishing modern development practices. You will also contribute to technical strategy, mentor developers, and work closely with Product, UX, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture, design, development, and enhancement of complex web applications using Laravel and PHP.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Design scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performing website solutions.
- Integrate AI-powered features, including:
- Conversational chatbots
- AI-powered search and recommendation engines
- Generative AI capabilities
- Document processing and summarisation
- AI agents and automation workflows

- Implement workflow automation using LLM platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, and Anthropic.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimise website performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Establish coding standards, development best practices, and CI/CD processes.
- Manage deployments and cloud infrastructure environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, AI developments, and industry trends.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve platform efficiency and user experience.

Mandatory Requirements

- 7+ years of overall software/web development experience.




- Robust commercial experience with PHP and Laravel.
- At least 5 years of commercial PHP development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience developing enterprise applications using Laravel.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI technologies into web applications.
- B.E./B.Tech or MCA qualification from a reputed college.
- Must be willing to work in UK working hours 8:45 am to 5:15 pm.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Laravel

- Caching and performance optimisation

- Strong JavaScript/modern front-end development knowledge.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

AI & Modern Technology Skills

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following:

- OpenAI APIs
- Azure OpenAI
- Anthropic Claude APIs
- Vector databases
- AI Agents
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Prompt Engineering
- Generative AI
- AI-powered search/recommendation systems

Understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals, NLP, AI governance, and AI security considerations will be valuable.
