ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE GOLD & JEWELLERY

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Executive with strong accounting fundamentals and preferably hands-on experience in the Gold & Jewellery / Precious Metals industry. The candidate will be responsible for accounting, inventory reconciliation, gold/metal weight calculations, karigar/job-work accounting, GST/TDS and MIS.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting including purchases, sales, receipts, payments, expenses, journals and ledgers.
- Maintain and reconcile gold, silver and jewellery inventory with books/ERP and physical stock.
- Handle gram, milligram, purity/fineness and caratage calculations including 22K/916, 18K/750 etc.
- Track gross weight, net weight, stone weight, fine-gold equivalent, wastage and making/job-work charges.
- Maintain karigar-wise gold/material issue and receipt records and reconcile weight differences.
- Verify purchase/sales invoices and jewellery-related documentation.
- Manage GST, GSTR-2B reconciliation, ITC, TDS and coordinate with auditors/consultants.
- Perform bank and cash reconciliation and monitor receivables/payables.
- Prepare periodic stock, sales, purchase, receivables/payables and management MIS.




- Assist in physical stock verification and identify discrepancies in quantity, weight, purity or valuation.
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory requirements.

Candidate Profile

- 37 years of experience in Accounts; Gems & Jewellery / Gold / Bullion / Precious Metals experience preferred.
- B.Com / M.Com preferred; CA Inter / relevant accounting qualification an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Tally Prime/ERP, GST, TDS and MS Excel.
- Excellent numerical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with grams, milligrams, decimals, purity and gold valuation.
- Understanding of karigar/job-work accounting, wastage and jewellery inventory controls.
- High integrity and ability to handle confidential, high-value financial and inventory information.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Zaveri Bazar/Kalbadevi environment.
