About the Role
Were looking for a QA Engineer who treats quality as engineering, not a checklist. Youll own
testing across our product ecosystem, including internal platforms, customer-facing apps,
integrations, and AI-powered products were actively building, across both manual and
automation.




This isnt a role for someone who just executes test cases. Its for QA engineers who think like
users, break things on purpose, automate what hurts to repeat, and care about what ships to
production.
What We Absolutely Need
These are non-negotiable. Without these, the role wont work, regardless of years of experience or
tool familiarity.
Thinks like a user, tests like an adversary. You dont just verify happy paths. You hunt
edge cases, race conditions, weird inputs, and the scenarios no one wrote a ticket for.
Strong fundamentals in both manual and automation. You write clear test plans and test
cases, and you also know when something deserves to be automated and how to do it well.

Owns quality end to end. You dont throw bugs over the wall. You reproduce cleanly,
isolate root cause where you can, and partner with engineers to make sure fixes actually fix
things.
¢ Solid grasp of APIs and web fundamentals. You can read a request/response, debug from
logs and network traces, and understand whats happening under the UI, not just whats on
it.
¢ SQL is second nature. You can query a database to verify state, validate data, and
investigate issues without needing a developer to do it for you.
¢ Proactively raises risks and gaps. You flag missing acceptance criteria, untested scenarios,
and risky releases before they become production incidents.
¢ Tool-flexible, but deep in at least one. Frameworks come and go. What matters is whether
you understand testing principles well enough to pick up whatever stack we use.
¢ Learns fast. New product, unfamiliar domain, unfamiliar codebase, and you ramp up




quickly and start finding real issues.
What Youll Do
¢ Design and execute manual test plans for new features, regressions, and integrations
¢ Build and maintain automated test suites for web (UI + API) and grow coverage over time
¢ Test APIs thoroughly: contracts, edge cases, error handling, performance
¢ Partner with developers and PMs during design and development, not just after
¢ Write clear, reproducible bug reports and drive them to closure
¢ Help shape our QA practices, processes, and quality bar as the team grows
General Expectations
Writes clean, maintainable automation code. Documents test plans and decisions so others can
build on them. Communicates clearly with engineers, PMs, and stakeholders. Raises the overall
quality bar through how you work, not just what you test.
Tools & Stack
On the automation side, we expect comfort with at least one modern web automation framework
(Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium) and one API testing tool (Postman, REST Assured, or
similar). Familiarity with SQL is essential; we work primarily with PostgreSQL, and also
MongoDB and ClickHouse. Exposure to CI pipelines and integrating tests into them is a plus.
The specific tool youve used matters less than how well you understand testing. If your
fundamentals are solid, youll pick up our stack quickly.
Good to Have
¢ Experience with performance or load testing (JMeter, k6, or similar)
¢ Exposure to mobile app testing (iOS/Android)

¢ Experience testing AI/LLM-based features and handling non-deterministic outputs
¢ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
¢ Basic scripting in JavaScript, Python, or Ruby
