Responsibilities

- Safety planning- Risk assessment and effective safety strategies.
- Assigns/monitors work assignments and provides training in life safety, First aid, etc
- Control access to buildings and monitor activities.
- Manages safety scheduling and approval of contract invoices.
- Obtain copies of each safety personnel of the vendor, and periodically audit the contractor for ongoing compliance.
- Maintenance of ongoing communications with GM, AGM, all concerned team members, and other building-related services staff.
- Monitors building operations.
- Establishes inspection tours of the property, focusing on stairwells, elevators, and all areas of ingress/egress.
- Gains/maintains proficiency with building life safety systems.
- Maintains and updates safety policies and procedures manual.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all current building, fire,



and life safety code requirements.
- Assists in emergencies (i.e. Fire, evacuations human crises, etc.)
- Communicates with AGM regarding events, incidents, recommendations, staffing needs, etc.)
- Review safety measures and monitor performance.
- Co-develops with the management staff operating guidelines and practices.
- Establishes and updates site-specific safety procedures and crime deterrent programs.
