Role: Instrument Technician

Seniority Level: Junior

Preferred Education: ITI - Instrument Mechanic / Instrumentation

Required Experience: 1-2 Years

Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of plant instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, control valves, sensors, actuators).
- Conduct loop checking, instrument testing, and basic fault finding while maintaining accurate calibration and maintenance records.
- Read and interpret PID, loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams to support accurate instrument servicing.
- Coordinate with Production, Electrical, and Maintenance teams and adhere to plant safety procedures, PPE, and work-permit requirements.

Must-Have Skills/Technologies

- Industrial instrumentation (transmitters, control valves, sensors, actuators)




- Calibration and troubleshooting of field instruments
- Reading and interpreting PID, loop wiring diagrams

Positive-to-Have Skills/Technologies

- PLC/DCS/SCADA basics

Must-Have Soft Skills/Technologies

- Strong safety awareness and compliance with PPE/work-permit protocols
- Effective coordination and teamwork with cross-functional departments
- Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment
