About the Role
We are looking for a SeniorDisaster ecovery Readiness & Validation Consultant to assess and validate the DR readiness of mission-critical applications and supporting infrastructure.
The role will work closely with Application, Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, Database, Network, Site, ServiceNow/CMDB and Business teams to validate recovery readiness, identify gaps and drive remediation to closure.
Core work:
Facilitate RTO/RPO and criticality workshops
Assess DR readiness and runbooks
Coordinate DR testing across multiple teams
Maintain risks, gaps, remediation, and evidence
Run governance meetings and executive reporting
Manage business, security, application, and infrastructure stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
9-14 years of overall IT experience with solid experience in Disaster Recovery / IT Service Continuity / Business Resilience.
Hands-on experience in DR readiness assessment and validation.
Strong understanding of DR runbooks, RTO, RPO, application criticality and recovery sequencing.
Experience coordinating DR drills/exercises and failover/failback activities.
Positive understanding of application and infrastructure dependencies.
Experience with ServiceNow CMDB / Configuration Items and application-infrastructure relationships.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
Experience maintaining risk, gap, action and remediation trackers.
Excellent communication, documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to challenge gaps, follow up with owners and drive actions to closure
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and validate DR runbooks, SOPs and recovery procedures for critical applications.
- Validate application criticality, RTO/RPO and recovery priorities.
- Review and validate application-to-infrastructure dependencies, including compute, database, storage, network, identity and third-party integrations.
- Validate ServiceNow CMDB / CI relationships and coordinate corrections where required.
- Review production and DR architecture documentation and identify discrepancies.
- Validate recovery sequence, prerequisites, ownership, escalation, failover/failback and rollback procedures.
- Coordinate DR exercises, readiness reviews and recovery testing across Application, Infrastructure, DB, Network and Security teams.
- Maintain DR readiness, risk, gap, action and remediation trackers and drive closure with respective owners.
- Prepare status reports, readiness dashboards, risks and management updates.
- Maintain auditable evidence of DR readiness, testing outcomes and remediation activities.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings/workshops and ensure timely follow-up on open actions.
