Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Fixture Maintenance Technician responsible for the maintenance, repair, modification, troubleshooting, and upkeep of production fixtures and jigs to ensure accurate, reliable, and uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production fixtures and jigs.
- Inspect fixtures for wear, damage, looseness, misalignment, and dimensional variation.
- Maintain and repair clamps, locators, pins, bushes, stoppers, guide plates, supports, and fixture components.
- Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic fixture systems.
- Replace damaged or worn-out fixture components to restore proper functionality.
- Perform fixture setting, alignment, leveling, and accuracy checks.
- Carry out fixture modification and improvement as per production requirements.
- Perform fitting, drilling, tapping, grinding, filing, and minor fabrication work related to fixtures.
- Check and maintain fixture repeatability and positioning accuracy.
- Identify the root cause of recurring fixture failures and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure fixtures are maintained according to production drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.




- Coordinate with Production and Quality teams for fixture-related problems.
- Maintain records of fixture breakdowns, repairs, modifications, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure proper identification, storage, and condition of fixtures when not in use.
- Follow 5S, safety, and standard maintenance practices in the fixture maintenance area.

Technical Skills Required

- Solid practical knowledge of Jigs & Fixtures.
- Knowledge of fixture clamping and locating principles.
- Understanding of 3-2-1 locating principle and fixture positioning.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic clamping systems.
- Knowledge of fixture alignment and dimensional accuracy.
- Ability to identify fixture wear and determine required corrective action.
- Knowledge of Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Dial Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and understand fixture and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of fixture components such as locating pins, bushes, clamps, rests, stoppers, guide pins, and supports.

Qualification

- ITI / Diploma in Tool & Die, Fitter, Mechanical, or related trade.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically in Fixture Maintenance.
