Job Summary
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented HR Executive to manage end-to-end payroll operations, time and attendance tracking, and statutory compliance. The primary objective of this role is to ensure accurate and timely disbursement of employee compensation while maintaining strict adherence to company policies and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Time & Attendance Management
- Monitor, reconcile, and maintain daily biometric attendance, shift rosters, and punch regularizations across departments.
- Manage leave administration (earned leave, casual leave, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave, and loss of pay).
- Address employee attendance discrepancies, late marks, half-days, and overtime calculations.
- Generate and audit monthly attendance summaries for payroll cutoff dates.
2. Payroll & Salary Processing
- Execute end-to-end monthly payroll processing for full-time, contract, and temporary employees.
- Compute gross earnings, variable pay, deductions, bonuses, reimbursements, advances, and incentives.
- Generate and distribute digital pay slips to employees on scheduled pay dates.
- Coordinate with the Finance/Accounts team to ensure timely salary credit via bank transfers.
- Handle full and final (F&F;) settlements, including encashment, gratuity calculations, and clearance recovery.
3. Statutory Compliance & Deductions
- Compute and ensure timely deposit of statutory dues: Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESIC), Qualified Tax (PT),
and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS).
- Assist with filing monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns in coordination with compliance partners or auditors.
- Assist employees with investment declaration collection, tax computations, and Form 16 distribution.
4. Query Resolution & Reporting
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, deductions, leave balances, and tax computations.
- Maintain up-to-date physical and digital employee payroll records.
- Prepare MIS reports, payroll cost breakdowns, attrition/headcount reports, and overtime trends for management review.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA/PGDM in HR is a plus).
- Experience: 2–4 years of proven operational experience in payroll processing and attendance management.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HRMS/Payroll software (e.g., Keka, Darwinbox, GreytHR, ZingHR, or Spine).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, nested logic formulas).
- Working knowledge of Indian labor laws, PF/ESI portals, and standard tax deduction slabs.
- Core Competencies:
