Valtatek Innovations Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer & Setup Engineer for our manufacturing facility in Gauribidanur, Karnataka.
We need a hands-on skilled who can create and prove CNC programs, independently set up machines, and take a new component from drawing to a stable production process. Our machines use Fanuc controls. The role involves CNC turning and/or milling, depending on the candidates strongest experience.
This is an opportunity to help develop production in a growing Indian manufacturing company with close links to Finland. After approximately three years, a suitable employee may be considered for an opportunity to work in Finland, subject to business needs, performance, mutual agreement and applicable work permit requirements.
Role & responsibilities
- Read engineering drawings and plan the machining process.
- Create, edit and optimise CNC programs for Fanuc-controlled machines.
- Independently set up tools, workholding, offsets and machining parameters.
- Perform first-off machining,
measure the component and correct the program or setup as needed.
- Establish reliable production methods for repeat orders and small to medium batch sizes.
- Improve cycle times, tool life, quality and process consistency.
- Work with operators and quality staff to solve machining problems and document proven setups.
Preferred candidate profile
- At least five years of practical CNC programming and machine setup experience.
- Proven ability to perform complete CNC setups independently; operator-only experience is not sufficient for this position.
- Strong working knowledge of Fanuc controls.
- Experience in CNC turning, CNC milling or both. Please specify your strongest area in your application.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, select tools and measure finished parts.
- Mastercam experience is preferred.
- Practical problem-solving skills and willingness to work hands-on in the workshop.
- Ability to communicate technical matters in English.
