PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:

1. Product Costing & Inventory Valuation

- Develop and maintain standard costs, actual costs and product-wise cost sheets covering material, conversion, utilities, labour, overheads and yield losses.
- Validate RM, WIP, intermediates and FG valuation; analyse purchase-price, usage, yield, mix, rate and volume variances.
- • Support current-product costing, make-or-buy decisions, transfer pricing inputs, quotation costing and product profitability reviews.
- Inventory control and analysis.

2. MIS & Performance Reporting

- Prepare accurate monthly MIS, plant and product P&L;, contribution, gross margin, cost-centre reports and management dashboards within agreed timelines.
- Explain actual versus budget, forecast and prior-period movements with quantified drivers and actionable commentary.

3. Cost Control & Business Partnering

- Partner with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Engineering and Commercial teams to identify and track cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor material consumption, solvent recovery, yield, utilities, manpower, maintenance and manufacturing overheads against norms.
- Lead root-cause analysis for adverse variances and establish owners, actions, financial benefits and closure dates.

4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

- Coordinate annual operating plan, rolling forecasts and long-range plans for volume, revenue, material cost, conversion cost, OPEX, CAPEX and working capital.
- Translate operational assumptions into financial plans; challenge assumptions and maintain version control and audit trails.
- Conduct monthly forecast updates,



scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis for prices, forex, yields, volumes and capacity.

5. Controls, Audit & Compliance

- Ensure costing and inventory processes comply with company policy, applicable accounting standards, internal controls and statutory requirements.
- Support month-end close, stock provisions, slow/non-moving inventory review, physical verification, audit schedules and control remediation.
- Maintain SOPs, approval matrices, reconciliations and data-quality checks across ERP and reporting systems.

KEY DELIVERABLES / KPIs

- Monthly MIS and costing close delivered on time with reconciled, decision-ready data.
- Budget/forecast accuracy; reduction in unexplained cost and margin variances.
- Cost-saving pipeline, validated benefits and sustained closure of corrective actions.
- Inventory valuation accuracy, ageing visibility and reduction in excess/obsolete inventory exposure.
- Timely completion of audits, reconciliations and internal-control actions.

Education & Experience

- CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance / equivalent qualification with strong manufacturing-costing experience may be considered
- Typically, 57 years in costing, plant finance, FP&A; or management accounting in a manufacturing environment; pharma/chemical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, budgeting, financial modelling and management reporting.
- Advanced Excel; hands-on ERP costing and inventory modules (SAP/Oracle or equivalent); Power BI or similar visualization tools preferred.
