2) L3 NetApp Engineer ONTAP & StorageGRID

Role Overview

- Deliver L3 engineering for NetApp ONTAP clusters and StorageGRID platforms
- Manage advanced NAS/SAN provisioning, multiprotocol access, and networking
- Provide deep troubleshooting for latency, throughput, and protocol issues
- Own StorageGRID object storage engineering and governance
- Execute replication, DR alignment, and performance tuning tasks
- Manage lifecycle operations including upgrades and patching
- Support enterprise-scale capacity, availability, and data protection requirements

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong ONTAP expertise (9.x+), including aggregates, SVMs, LIFs, and volumes
- Proficiency in SMB/NFS/LDAP multiprotocol integration
- Experience with SnapMirror, snapshots, data protection, and tiering
- Robust knowledge of StorageGRID architecture, VDCs, replication groups, and buckets
- Advanced troubleshooting using Active IQ, OCI, and system logs
- Ability to execute L3 changes, upgrades, and complex storage configurations
- Strong understanding of ONTAP internals (WAFL, CPs, layout)
- Hands-on experience writing and updating SOPs, KBs,



and engineering documents
- Ability to collaborate across infrastructure domains for troubleshooting

Key Responsibilities

- Engineer ONTAP clusters, SVMs, aggregates, and storage networking
- Configure SMB/NFS multiprotocol access, LDAP, and export policies
- Provision volumes, LUNs, and replication schedules
- Analyze AutoSupport, OCI insights, and performance metrics
- Build StorageGRID pools, VDCs, namespaces, and buckets
- Configure S3 policies, retention, and capacity settings
- Troubleshoot replication lag, object failures, and protocol issues
- Lead firmware upgrades, patches, and L3 engineering changes
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and topology details
- Support DR testing, readiness checks, and failover validation
- Ensure compliance with standards and governance controls
- Conduct capacity forecasting and performance tuning
- Coordinate with virtualization, OS, and network teams
- Drive RCA and implement preventive measures
- Support global operations and escalations as SME
