Role & responsibilities
Required Skills
- Strong experience with IBM Mainframe (z/OS)
- Hands-on experience in distributed application production support (Unix/Linux/Windows environments)
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, Easytrieve, and SORT
- Experience with DB2, CICS, IMS
- Knowledge of job scheduling tools (CA-7, Control-M, TWS/OPC)
- Experience using Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Thousand Eyes, or similar
- Strong skills in incident, problem, and change management (ITIL)
- Experience with log analysis, monitoring, and alerting tools
Positive to Have
- Exposure to middleware technologies (WebSphere, MQ, Tomcat, Kafka, etc.)
- Exposure to Cloud Technologies (PCF Preferred)
- Knowledge of scripting (Shell, Python)
- Experience in BFSI or other high-availability environments
