Assistant Manager Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

Location: Udyog Vihar, Gurugram
Experience: 4 to 7 Years | CTC: 7 to 8 LPA

Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Manager Procurement & Strategic Sourcing with hands-on experience in Packaging and/or Gourmet / Premium F&B; procurement.

The candidate will be responsible for sourcing, vendor development, negotiations, cost optimization, purchase planning and ensuring uninterrupted supply.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement for assigned categories.
- Identify, evaluate and develop recent vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, MOQ, payment terms and delivery timelines.
- Drive cost savings through vendor benchmarking and alternate sourcing.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality, pricing and OTIF.
- Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Quality and Warehouse teams.
- Maintain optimum inventory and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Support new product/category development through sourcing.

Category Expertise Required Packaging

Experience in sourcing food-grade/customized packaging, such as:

- Paper cups, food containers and bags




- Corrugated boxes/cartons
- Printed packaging, labels and sleeves
- Flexible packaging, pouches and laminates
- Disposable and sustainable packaging

Gourmet / Premium F&B;

Experience in procurement of specialty/gourmet food & beverage categories, such as:

- Specialty coffee/tea
- Premium food ingredients
- Chocolates/confectionery
- Bakery, dairy, sauces, spreads and condiments
- Nuts, dry fruits and specialty/imported foods

Ideal Candidate

- 4 to 7 years of experience in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Category Management.
- Strong preference for candidates from F&B;, Gourmet, FMCG, QSR, Caf, Retail or E-commerce.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and Excel skills.
- ERP/procurement-system experience preferred.

Key Requirement: Direct experience in either Packaging Procurement or Gourmet/Premium F&B; Procurement is essential.
