Job Overview:
Electrica Engineers Pvt Ltd (EEIPL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced qualified to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, statutory compliance, inventory auditing, and financial management activities. The role will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely statutory filings, effective inventory reconciliation, and compliance with applicable financial and taxation regulations. The role requires strong knowledge of GST, TDS, accounting, financial reporting, inventory auditing, SAP, and Advanced Excel. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and effective business support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in monthly financial reporting packages, prepare MIS reports for management review, analyse expense patterns and variances, support budget preparation and monitoring, and maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Inventory Auditing & Reconciliation: Plan, coordinate, and execute regular cycle counts, full physical inventories, and random spot checks across all stocking locations. Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records (ERP/WMS), identifying root causes such as system errors, process failures, or human error. Validate inventory movements, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and returns, to ensure all transactions are properly documented and authorized.
- GST Compliance & Filing: Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns, including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B. Reconcile input tax credit with vendor invoices,
file annual GST return (GSTR-9) and reconciliation statement, handle GST registration, amendments, and cancellations, and coordinate with Auditors for GST audits.
- General Accounting: Maintain complete and accurate accounting records, process accounts payable and accounts receivable, manage general ledger entries and month-end closing, prepare bank reconciliations and cash flow statements, handle petty cash management and reimbursement processing, and assist in the preparation of financial statements, including P&L; and Balance Sheet.
- TDS Compliance & Management: Calculate TDS on various payments as per the Income Tax Act, prepare and file TDS returns, including Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q, and 27EQ, issue TDS certificates, including Form 16 and Form 16A, monitor TDS due dates and ensure timely payments, reconcile TDS payable accounts with filed returns, and respond to TDS notices and handle assessments.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Relevant experience in finance and accounting operations, with strong exposure to financial reporting, MIS, inventory auditing and reconciliation, GST compliance and filing, TDS compliance, and general accounting activities.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in SAP, strong working knowledge of GST, proficiency in Advanced Excel,
and sound knowledge of accounting and financial reporting processes.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in coordinating finance and accounting activities and driving timely execution of departmental responsibilities.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse financial, accounting, taxation, and inventory-related discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to coordinate effectively with management, Auditors, vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP Experience: Hands-on experience in SAP with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- GST Working Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of GST with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced Excel: Proficiency in Advanced Excel for financial analysis, MIS reporting, reconciliation, and management reporting.
