Job Title: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Production Planning (PPC)

Location: Madhavaram, Chennai

Department: Production

Reports To: Manager – Production

Experience: 9–10 Years

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Job Description:

- Prepare and execute weekly and daily production plans based on monthly production plans.

- Plan production considering manpower, machine capacity, material availability, and production priorities.

- Plan and monitor sub-assembly and final assembly schedules to achieve delivery targets.

- Coordinate with Material Resourcing Planners to align production plans with material availability and customer priorities.

- Coordinate with SCM, Procurement, Stores, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve material shortages and production constraints.

- Monitor production progress, WIP levels, and adherence to production plans.

- Optimize inventory levels while ensuring uninterrupted material availability for production.

- Maintain and update production planning data in SAP.





- Analyze production capacity, manpower availability, and machine loading.

- Prepare and share production, delivery, and planning performance reports.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve planning efficiency, resource utilization, and delivery performance.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of Production Planning & Control (PPC).

- Good understanding of BOM structures, routing, and manufacturing processes.

- Experience in planning sub-assembly and final assembly operations.

- Hands-on experience with SAP and MRP.

- Robust knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Knowledge of inventory management, capacity planning, and demand planning.

- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
