Role Description
As a Founding Data Engineer, you will help build the core data infrastructure that powers Stelloid.
You will work on ingesting, standardizing, and modeling data from multiple commerce systems and turning it into reliable, analytics-ready datasets for dashboards, recommendations, ML workflows, and AI agents.
This is primarily a data engineering role,



but as part of the founding team, you will also contribute to architecture, backend systems, AI/ML workflows, and product decisions.

Responsibilities
• Design and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Python and SQL
• Own data integrations across marketplaces, webshops, ad platforms, ERP/OMS systems, inventory, logistics, and other third-party systems
• Build and maintain dbt models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers
• Design standardized data models, metric definitions, and data contracts
• Create analytics-ready datasets across revenue, margins, inventory, advertising, pricing, returns, and SKU/channel performance
• Implement data quality, testing, freshness, observability, lineage, and backfill workflows
• Work with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, Meltano, or similar
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, data-quality issues, and performance bottlenecks
