The company focuses on complete process control, traceability, and on-time delivery, using high-quality raw materials from certified steel mills and processors. Core product expertise includes induction hardened CV torque shafts, piston rods for dampers and shock absorbers, splined shafts, zinc nickel plated ball joint assemblies, and automotive precision turned and machined components.

With extensive experience in manufacturing and machining across multiple materials, Vinkay Auto collaborates with customers from concept and ideation through to mass production. Operations span a 20,000-square-foot production facility dedicated to machined child parts for shock absorbers, suspensions, and dampers.

Role Description The Vice President of Quality Management is a full-time, in office leadership role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. This role oversees all quality functions, including development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems across machining, production, and assembly processes. Daily responsibilities include setting quality objectives, monitoring performance metrics, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

The Vice

President partners with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to embed quality standards in product design, sourcing,



and manufacturing workflows. The role also involves leading and mentoring quality teams, managing audits, driving certifications, and promoting a culture of quality, safety, and compliance throughout the organization.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Quality Management and Quality Assurance, including leadership of plant-wide quality initiatives.
- Strong background in Quality Control practices & stringent QA systems, and final product validation in an automotive or precision machining environment.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Systems aligned with relevant industry standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
- Working knowledge of Regulatory Affairs related to automotive components, safety standards, and customer-specific requirements.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and improvement tools (e.g., APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, 8D, root cause analysis).
- Proven ability to lead and develop cross-functional quality teams, with strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Experience collaborating with OEM customers and suppliers on quality expectations, audits, and continuous improvement programs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced quality certifications are an advantage.
- Prior senior-level quality leadership experience in automotive components manufacturing or a similar high-precision, safety-critical domain
