Company Description Abhyaas Defence Academy is a boarding school and defence-focused institution that combines CBSE-pattern schooling with structured coaching for competitive exams. Learners are prepared for RIMC, Sainik Schools, Military Schools, NDA, and foundation-level IIT-JEE and NEET-UG under one roof. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site teaching role based in Jammu. The teacher will deliver engaging lessons in one or more subjects including English, Social Studies (SST), Physics, Chemistry, Urdu, and Reasoning, following CBSE guidelines and the academy’s integrated defence preparation model. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering classroom instruction, preparing lesson plans and teaching materials, assessing student performance through tests and assignments, and providing academic support to boarding learners.

The teacher will help students prepare for school exams and relevant competitive exams, maintain classroom discipline, participate in faculty meetings, and collaborate with colleagues to align academic and coaching activities.



The role also involves mentoring students, supporting their overall development, and communicating regularly with the academic team and administration.

Qualifications

- Strong subject knowledge and teaching skills in one or more of the following: English, SST, Physics, Chemistry, Urdu, or Reasoning.
- Ability to design lesson plans, create learning materials, and use appropriate teaching methodologies for CBSE and competitive exam preparation.
- Skills in classroom management, student assessment, and providing constructive feedback to support diverse learning needs.
- Effective communication skills, including explicit spoken and written English, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple manner.
- Comfort working in a boarding school environment, with a student-centered mindset and a focus on discipline, integrity, and mentorship.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or in a relevant subject (e.g., English, Social Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Urdu), with B.Ed. preferred.
- Experience teaching CBSE curriculum or coaching students for exams such as RIMC, Sainik/Military Schools, NDA, IIT-JEE or NEET-UG is an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues, use basic educational technology, and continuously update teaching practices.
