Role Description The Sr Clinical DB Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining clinical databases to support clinical trials and related research activities. This full-time, role includes configuring electronic data capture (EDC) systems, drafting CRF design specifications, Edit checks specifications and Data listing specifications ensuring data integrity, quality, and compliance with regulatory and protocol requirements.

The role involves collaborating with clinical operations, data management,



and technology teams to translate study protocols into robust database designs and case report forms. Day-to-day activities include performing database specifications, supporting database deployment, managing change requests, and providing technical guidance to project teams.

Clinical DB Designer is expected to contribute to continuous improvement of database design processes, tools, and documentation.

Qualifications

- Solid expertise in clinical database design and electronic data capture (EDC) systems (Preferably VEEVA), including structuring case report forms and defining data standards.
- Solid understanding of clinical trial processes, GCP, and database lifecycle.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (clinical operations and data management) and communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Experience in the life sciences or healthcare domain, preferably within CRO or pharmaceutical environments, with exposure to global studies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in life sciences, computer science, health informatics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior team members and contributing to process improvement initiatives is an advantage.
