Position: Service Head

Location: Surat, Gujarat

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Handle technical support and service operations for On-Grid, Off-Grid, Hybrid and/or Commercial Solar Inverters.
- Manage customer complaints related to inverter performance, faults, alarms, communication, and system issues.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of inverter failures.
- Manage warranty, AMC and after-sales service activities.
- Supervise Service Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, and Field Technicians.
- Allocate service calls and monitor team performance and complaint closure TAT.
- Provide technical guidance to field engineers for complex inverter issues.
- Coordinate with customers, dealers, distributors, EPC companies, installers, and internal technical teams.
- Coordinate with the R&D;/Product/Quality team for unresolved or repeated technical issues.
- Manage replacement, repair, testing, and dispatch of defective inverter units.
- Monitor RMA (Return Material Authorization) and warranty replacement processes.
- Maintain and control critical inverter spare parts and service inventory.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly service reports and MIS.
- Monitor key service metrics such as complaint TAT, first-time resolution, repeat complaints, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement service SOPs, troubleshooting procedures, and technical guidelines.
- Conduct technical training for service engineers, technicians, dealers, and installers.
- Visit significant customer/project sites for critical technical issues whenever required.




- Ensure proper documentation of service calls, fault history, repair details, and customer feedback.
- Ensure all service activities comply with electrical safety standards and company policies.

Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of Solar Inverters and Solar PV Systems.
- Good understanding of inverter architecture, DC/AC systems, MPPT, IGBT/MOSFET, SMPS, relays, cooling systems, protection systems, and communication interfaces.
- Experience in troubleshooting inverter faults, error codes, alarms, and communication issues.
- Knowledge of RS485, Modbus, Wi-Fi/4G communication, monitoring portals and data loggers will be an advantage.
- Understanding of electrical protection devices, earthing, SPD, MCB/MCCB, ACDB/DCDB and related solar BOS components.
- Knowledge of testing equipment such as multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, oscilloscope, etc.
- Experience with warranty/RMA and field-service processes.

Education & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Power Electronics
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Solar Inverter Service, Power Electronics, Solar EPC, Renewable Energy
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a team-lead/managerial role preferred.
- Experience handling a field service team and customer escalations is highly preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
