Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Performance Engineer to drive performance testing, system optimization, benchmarking, and scalability across applications, APIs, microservices, databases, and infrastructure.

Required Skills

- B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech with 5-8 years of experience in performance engineering and testing.
- At least 2 years of experience in system optimization and performance scaling.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, Java, or Groovy.
- Experience with profiling and dump analysis tools such as VisualVM and MAT.
- Strong Linux administration skills.
- Valuable understanding of networking, caching, CDN, and message queues.
- Strong understanding of web and mobile application architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute load, stress, soak, endurance, scalability, and failover tests.
- Build workload models, concurrency patterns, and test data strategies.
- Benchmark APIs, WebSockets, microservices, and backend systems.




- Identify performance bottlenecks across application, database, network, and infrastructure layers.
- Analyse load test results, identify root causes, and recommend performance improvements.
- Work with development teams to optimize code, queries, caching, and configurations.
- Analyse KPIs such as response time, throughput, and resource utilization.
- Prepare performance reports with trends, root cause analysis, and recommendations.
- Support production troubleshooting and drive performance best practices across teams.

- Performance Testing: JMeter, Locust, Gatling, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter
- APM: Dynatrace, Instana, AppDynamics, Datadog, New Relic
- Monitoring: Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, ELK Stack
- Cloud: AWS, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, Kubernetes
- Databases: MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- CI/CD: Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes

Good to Have

- Experience with client-side performance testing for mobile applications.
- Exposure to Fintech or BFSI domains.
