Role Description The Senior Buyer role is a full-time hybrid position based in New Delhi, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing fabrics, trims, and finished fashion accessories that align with Texinvento’s design, quality, and cost requirements. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and contracts, monitoring order status, and ensuring timely delivery to support production schedules.

The Senior

Buyer will collaborate closely with design, production, and sales teams to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and adjust buying strategies based on market trends and customer feedback. The role also involves reviewing product performance,



analyzing data to optimize supplier relationships, and supporting compliance with ethical, sustainable sourcing standards.

Qualifications

- Experience in fashion or apparel buying, merchandising, or sourcing, ideally with export-focused or accessories-based businesses.
- Solid skills in supplier management, negotiation, and contract coordination to secure quality products at competitive prices.
- Ability to analyze sales, cost, and inventory data to inform purchasing decisions and demand forecasting.
- Knowledge of fabrics, trims, and fashion accessories, with an eye for quality, design details, and market trends.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets, ERP or inventory systems, and standard office software for reporting and planning.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design, production, logistics, and sales teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Understanding of ethical and sustainable sourcing practices within the fashion industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Management, Supply Chain, or a related field; relevant additional certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead buyer position and familiarity with international market requirements are highly desirable.
