Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP AI & Joule Specialist/Architect to design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions using SAP Joule, Joule Studio, SAP Build, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between SAP functional knowledge and cutting-edge AI capabilities to deliver intelligent, automated business solutions that enhance user productivity and drive measurable business impact. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-value assignments around SAP Business AI, Joule, and SAP BTP AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Joule Development & AI Solution Delivery

- Design, develop, and deploy custom Joule Skills, capabilities, extensions, and AI agents using Joule Studio and SAP Build.
- Build and orchestrate agentic AI workflows that automate decision-making and business processes by combining LLMs, structured SAP data, and enterprise APIs.
- Design conversational AI flows, prompt engineering strategies, and agent orchestration logic to deliver intuitive, context-aware user experiences.
- Develop and configure AI-powered use cases using SAP AI Core and SAP AI Launchpad.
- Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns and Knowledge Graph integrations for advanced, context-aware AI solutions.

Integration & Platform Expertise

- Integrate Joule with SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, SAP Datasphere, and other SAP solutions, as well as third-party REST APIs.
- Design and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performing AI-powered applications on SAP BTP.
- Utilize SAP BTP services such as SAP Generative AI Hub, SAP AI Core, SAP AI Business Services, and SAP Integration Suite to develop innovative solutions.




- Build API-driven conversational experiences and integrate SAP and non-SAP systems through SAP BTP.

Architecture & Governance

- Define enterprise AI architecture, design agent frameworks, and create secure, scalable AI workflows.
- Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance frameworks across SAP and non-SAP platforms, aligning with enterprise policies and SAP best practices.
- Stay current with SAP's evolving Generative/Agentic AI roadmap and bring innovation to the team.

Leadership & Collaboration

- Collaborate with functional teams to identify and prioritize AI automation opportunities across business processes.
- Lead AI architecture workshops, mentor development teams, and define coding standards.
- Conduct POCs (Proof of Concepts) and demos for stakeholders to showcase AI capabilities.

Required Qualifications

Experience

- 5–15 years of total experience in SAP development, consulting, or architecture roles, with a strong focus on AI-driven solutions.
- Proven experience with SAP Joule, including at least 2 enterprise implementations (custom Skills, Agents, or AI-powered business processes).
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP BTP development experience.




- Experience across the full AI use-case lifecycle—from refining user stories and designing AI functionalities to implementing them with a focus on AI quality, robustness, and compliance.

Technical Skills

- SAP AI Stack: SAP Joule, Joule Studio, SAP Build, SAP AI Core, SAP AI Launchpad, SAP BTP.
- SAP Development: ABAP, CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), RAP, CDS Views, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, OData, SAP Integration Suite.
- AI & ML: Prompt Engineering, Agent Design, RAG Architecture, LLM Integration, Conversational Design, AI Governance.
- Programming Languages: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js.
- Cloud & Data: SAP HANA Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP BDC, Vector Engines, Knowledge Graphs.

Soft Skills

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate complex architectural options, risks, and trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid business process acumen and the ability to understand the challenges you are asked to solve.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP BTP Solution Architect Certification.
- SAP Business AI, Joule, or SAP Business AI certification.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and multi-agent systems.
- Experience leading enterprise AI programs and supporting 10,000+ users globally.
- Domain expertise in regulated industries (Healthcare, Pharma, Manufacturing, Financial Services).
