About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and results-driven Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to generate recent business opportunities for their Chicago based Bar and Restaurant. The primary focus is on developing new revenue opportunities by connecting with local businesses, schools, organizations, sports groups, hotels, and community partners through phone calls, emails, and ongoing relationship management. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with fluent English skills, confidence on the phone, strong follow-up abilities, and a passion for business development.

Key Responsibilities

•Fluent English is required – excellent speaking and writing skills

•Confident and professional on the phone

•Clear American-business communication style

•Good email writing and follow-up skills

•Organized and comfortable maintaining contact lists

•Professional, friendly, and persistent

•Comfortable using Google Sheets, email, phone/VoIP, and basic computer tools

•Previous sales, customer service, restaurant marketing, or business-development experience preferred

Main Responsibilities

1. Phone Outreach

•Call local businesses, companies, schools/institutes, organizations, clubs, hotels, sports groups and community organizations.





•Introduce our client and our group/business dining opportunities.

•Ask about upcoming events, meetings, parties and gatherings.

•Develop relationships and generate new business.

2. Email Marketing & Follow-Up

•Send professional emails to potential business and community partners.

•Follow up with people who have shown interest.

•Maintain a follow-up schedule so opportunities are not missed.

•Send client menus, group packages, event information and promotions when appropriate.

3. Business & Community Coordination

Coordinate with companies and institutes for:

•Group lunches/dinners

•Corporate gatherings

•Birthday parties

•Fundraisers

•Sports groups

•Meetings

•Holiday events

•Watch parties

•Coordinate the details with our client management after a customer is interested.

•Confirm dates, number of guests, food/package requirements and other arrangements.

4. Local Business Development

•Build and maintain a database of local businesses and organizations.

•Identify new companies, institutes, clubs and community groups around Carol Stream and surrounding areas.

•Establish ongoing relationships with decision-makers.

5. Weekly Reporting

Provide a simple weekly report showing:





•Number of calls made

•Number of emails sent

•Conversations/contacts reached

•Follow-ups completed

•Meetings or calls scheduled

•New group/event leads

•Bookings generated

•Estimated sales from new business

•The primary goal is to generate new customers and sales for our client through direct outreach, not simply to make calls or send emails.

•The coordinator should be measured by:

•Outreach → Conversations → Leads → Bookings → Sales

•This position is not primarily a social-media job. The focus is direct business development, phone calls, emails, follow-up and coordination.

•Fluent English communication is mandatory.
